Subject: [KFFDisc] The Blanket Scenario Date: Thu, 04 Mar 1999 17:16:58 -0500 From: Dee Baptista Reply-To: kenshinfanfics@egroups.com To: pickcd00@uleth.ca, kenshinfanfics@egroups.com I'm gonna try my luck at this, since it's the perfect day. Cornell was just closed due to snow, and won't reopen until tomorrow. I found this out just as I was about to click on the first Kenshin/Kaoru story... To those who haven't visited Chelsea's page yet: Here's her explanation: The Blanket Scenerio Here’s the situation: two Rurouni Kenshin characters trapped overnight in a single-room cabin in the middle of a blizzard. It’s so cold that falling asleep uncovered will undoubtedly cause hypothermia. One blanket. Go wild. Sano and Megumi. That means, expect Sano-type swearing. Final note: Italics are thoughts. Sano throws something towards Megumi. "Oi, Foxy Lady! Here's a blanket." "Thanks for nothing," she replies as she barely catches the bundle. "It's not my fault Chelsea decided to put us in this secnario!" "Of course it is." "Hmmph!, fine, be that way, see if I care, Fox," Sano grumbles as he stomps off to the corner of the room farthest from Megumi. Megumi, realising this, says "Where's your blanket? You're going to get hypothermia!" "What? Speak in Japanese! There's only one blanket!" replies a bewildered Sanosuke. "If you want to be that way about it, then fine! Freeze your ass off! See if I care!" "Fine!" After five minutes of silence, Megumi started thinking about the argument they just had. Sanosuke no Baka! Why doesn't he come here? Was I that harsh? Why can't we share the blanket? Beause had to be argumentative again, didn't I? Watashi no baka. She sighed, noting that she could see her breath. Hmm, it wouldn't be so bad if Sano and I snuggled up in this blanket... little fox ears started to appear on Megumi's head. Meanwhile, Sano was also considering the recent events, and having an argument with himself while doing it. Why does Fox always have to start an argument? Damn, it's fucking cold, and I had to give the Foxy Lady the blanket. But if you had to do it over again, you'd still give her the blanket, wouldn't you? Of course, she's a lady; I'd have to out of chivalry. Bullshit! Stop sounding as if you wouldn't go to the ends of the earth to ensure her happiness. No, that's Kenshin's job. No, Kenshin has Jo-chan; so who do you have? I don't need anybody. Sure, and the pandas' colours are pink and taupe this year. Just look at her and say that you don't love her... Fine, you win, I love her! Happy? No, not unless you do something about it. Megumi suddenly got up and walked towards Sanosuke, with her fox ears still on, and a slight smirk on her face. "Sanosuke. My morals as a doctor cannot stand the fact that you're slowly freezing to death. Let's share this blanket." Sano can do nothing but stare at her with a stupid look on his face, wondering if he was hallucinating. Then she sat down next to him against the wall and put her left arm behind his back to wrap the blanket around him. Sano couldn't help but put his arms around her to pull her closer. For the warmth, that's it, he reasoned. Just so he won't freeze to death, she rationalized, before she admitted, this is so comfortable. It just feels so... right, trying inexplicably to snuggle closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. "Sano," she sighed. "Hai, Megumi?" Sanosuke was too busy revelling in the amazing feelings brought forth by holding Megumi to even realize that he, for once, forgot to call her "Fox" "Isn't this much better than before?" "Hai, much better," he said, with a smile growing on his face. ~THE END~ I don't want to continue this because then it would become a lemon. I don't do lemon. In fact, until now, I only did skits. So if the phrases between sayings seems too choppy or repetitive, that's why. If anybody wants to continue this with a citrus twist, go right ahead! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With lots of love, D'Ola -- http://www.people.cornell.edu/pages/deb18 "Some people weave burlap into the fabric of our lives, and some weave gold thread.
