[Image] e-@anime-genesis.com Okay..I seem to be getting over writer's block currently...but I've lost touch totally with my humorous side..so I guess all of those awaitng KoF:RK Style will just have to wait a little bit longer...... Here's the supposedly chapter 3 of the Yahiko fiction. This fiction was written when still in writer's block disease so I think there should be a lot of errors, grammatical or plotwise...so C&C will be greatly appreciated. Also this chapter relies heavily on chapter 2 of this dark Yahiko fic. Anyone who haven't read chapter 2 might not really know what's happening to Sanosuke actually. This is a chapter with Yahiko as the title but without Yahiko in it...so therefore there'll be no first person perspective in it......ahhh and some have voiced their concern about the shifting viewpoints in various part of the fic.... ************* denotes a scene change.....^_^ Ahh the usual warning...this is a very very dark fic which contains ansgt, hate, anger, unrequited love, death, life and those weak of heart should not read further than here. ^_^ Jaaa...on with it.....hope I'll be getting feedback...since I need to reedit many of this part ..I think..... >>>>>> Yahiko Myojin : Beyond Retribution <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< > > Written by Ex (e-@anime-genesis.com) > > Characters copyrights of Nobuhiro Watsuki. > Any similarities to real life > incident is purely coincidental. > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< ------------ Yahiko Myojin : The time when angels existed --------------------- "Sanosuke......Sano...." Sanosuke's eyes brightened like those of a firefly blinking through the night. The life in them arose once again. The memories of the brave and headstrong Zanza courses through his body once more. Feeling utterly speechless, Sanosuke sat awed. "An.......ji....." Sanosuke remarked. It was Anji the Myo-oh. Freed from prison finally, it was earlier than he thought. The Meiji decided he was no threat since he had reverted back to his early priesthood self. Anji stood as tall as usual in front of Sanosuke. Scanning through his successor with his bright yet avenging eyes. Gone were the black ashes which mark the Myo-oh in him. Replaced are two repentant and sad glowing ones. ********************************** Sanosuke slowly opened one of his eyes. Pain and blood coursing through his body restlessly. Quickly, he turned himself over as he faced the brightly litted moon. "Anji...." Sanosuke muttered under his heavy breathing. ********************************** "Remember what you taught me in Kyoto, Sanosuke?" Anji said as he quietly sat down next to him. Sanosuke nodded pitifully, his head kept low to hide his old and dirty face from the man he once admired. A man whom he taught the value of forgiveness. The true purpose of life. The way to accept reality. How he scorned at himself being unable to act what he preached then. How he hated himself for being so utterly destroyed. Anji looked at him, the patience in his eyes waiting calmly for Sanosuke's answer. An answer he hoped to hear from one who valued life so much back then. "Ye.....yes...." Sanosuke whimpered. "And now look at you. On the verge of your own total demise. And all these years, I thought you were as strong as I thought you were." Anji closed his eyes once again, his breathing became heavier. "I am so disappointed, Sagara Sanosuke." Sanosuke could not even managed to look Anji in the face. He was too afraid to face the great Myo-oh. With his current situation, Sanosuke could not even faced a normal robber. Then, Sanosuke muttered a single laughter. A half hearted laughter. Anji widened his eyes in anticipation. "You have no idea what I have to go through back then, Anji." Bringing his handicapped arm in front of Anji, "Look at this!!!" Sanosuke broke down into tears. "Even with your damn Futae no Kiwami, I can't protect the people I love, treasured..." "What is power and skill then?? What is the purpose of living then?" Sanosuke held his hand close to his head. Anji looked closer at Sanosuke. He knew then he was just staring into a mirror, a mirror reflecting his own past, yet his was filled with anger, hate and revenge while this was filled with hopelessness and seeking self destruction. Tears began forming in his eyes as the memories of his little angels came flooding back. The warm smile, the cheery laughters. How he missed them. Anji clutched onto where his heart was as he felt the same pain Sanosuke was feeling. ****************************** Sanosuke for the first time, braved himself and looked up. Seeing Anji was like looking at himself in the mirror. Anji quickly arose from where he sat. His towering body overshadowing Sanosuke's as the moon shone brightly on him. Sanosuke then saw something different. In front of him, the Myo-oh disappeared. And in its place was an angel, an angel so beautiful that he couldn't believed his own eyes. "Sanosuke..." the angel said as she offered her hand. Sanosuke didn't know what to do but slowly grab hold of the hand as she lifted him up on his feet. He felt peace and serenity within the angel's warm aura. Sanosuke could not peeled his eyes of the enchanting angel. "Sanosuke........" the angel turned around. To his horror, the angel turned out to be Megumi. Fear slowly crept into his very being, chilling his already dead soul. His blood begun flowing faster than usual. "Megumi..." Sanosuke muttered. His voice trembling under the blow of the wind. Megumi looked at him, her caring eyes piercing straight into his heart, sending warm fires throughout his body. Her presence slowly warming and bringing back to life a soul which was lost. A soul lost in reality. Sanosuke could not bring himself to ask Megumi questions he wanted to ask so long ago. Questions which could change his life and hers. Questions which could have brought a smile or two back to the neighbourhood then. Suddenly, Megumi wrapped her delicate arms around Sanosuke. Holding him near to her. His head rested comfortably on her breast. Her beautiful fingers combing his hair. "Please believe in yourself, Sano. Please live again..." The ghostly voice found itself into Sanosuke's stubborn brain effortlessly. These words began repeating themselves over and over. Yet Sanosuke felt no pain, no shock, no sorrow, only warmth as his life's candle began flaring brightly once again. He looked up and found himself lying on the ground he was sleeping a while ago. Sano stood up, his face braving the mosquitoes which have been feeding off him. Tears rolled down his cheek like a waterfall. He thought it was a dream, a dream which brought back the life in Sanosuke. Then he smelled the air around and knew it wasn't a dream after all. The scent of Megumi's perfume were still fresh as the place where Anji sat was still warm. Suddenly, in front of him, Megumi, Kaoru and Kenshin smiled. Their face seemingly full of happiness, yet one could feel the utter sadness from their souls. And to his right, Anji was standing tall as he always were. They looked at Sanosuke. "Please believe in yourself, Sano...." Megumi's voice travelled into his mind. "Please don't blame yourself, Sano....it wasn't your fault..." Kaoru's voice was heard then. "Be strong Sano......live like you taught me to.." Anji's voice boomed in his head. "Live your life for yourself, Sano......live not your life for us anymore...." Kenshin's voice entered his mind. "For we will always be by your side, Sano..." Megumi, Kaoru, and Kenshin told him. "Just like they have been by my side ever since..." Anji's voice appeared. A group of little children began circling the now smiling Anji. Each holding a brightly lit candle. Their smiling faces showed their happiness, their joyful spirits touched Sanosuke's soul. Slowly as they appeared, the apparitions slowly vanished into the night. Yet someone's life was changed totally. The fire on his candle was flaring brightly with life, determination and strength. Sanosuke let out a punch at a nearby rock with his left fist. Tears were still seeping into his white hakama as he left his sanctuary. He knew then he must faced what he had escaped 10 years ago. Faced the reality which he had partially created. As Sanosuke slowly disappeared to the night, the injured rock suddenly explodes into tiny particles of sand, leaving no trace where the rock once were. Sagara Sanosuke lives again. *************************************** "Megumi.....Kenshin...Kaoru....." Sanosuke managed to utter all the names within one breath. Painfully he struggled to get on his feet. Supporting his bloodied body with his left arm, he slowly pulled himself up. The slash wound across his body was to signalled his death. Yet somehow miraculously he lived. Sanosuke looked up into the starry night again as the faces of Kaoru, Kenshin and Anji appeared. And finally Megumi. Sanosuke shrugged off the vision as he felt his brutally wounded body. "There's still hope." And he rushes off tracking the trail of blood which Yahiko left. A trail which could lead him either to salvation or destruction. **************************************** "I must hurry..." Tsubame uttered under her heavy panting. Her hand still grasping upon what Saitoh had given earlier in the day. An item she carefully wrapped using a handkerchief which Yahiko bought her 10 years ago. She had carried it ever since. The memories of those times were too precious to throw away. She has clinged on them for so many years and she wasn't to give up now. "No....." She looked at the wrapped object in her hand, her worried face slowly remembering Saitoh's words. "If it must be ....... you are the one...Tsubame..." Saitoh's word rang clearly in her head. "No......" she reminded herself again as she ran as quickly as her legs could bring her. Tsubame hurried, for she knew, if one moment too late and then it would all be over. She didn't know why, but she could feel it. The chilly wind sent shivers down her spine as the teary skies brought a bad omen. She could feel it. Somehow she knew tonight is where her loved one's fate will be determined. By what? By who? she couldn't tell. Yet she was determined to be by his side whatever the cause, whatever the price she had to pay. Tonight, Tsubame had decided to dedicate her life to him, the one and only one she'd loved all her life. If he could change and lived on, she would willing to give up her life. She grasped on tighter on the object she carried along. One which will determine the end of this tragic tale. ******************************************* Hiko opened his eyes. As blood blurred his vision, he cleaned them with the sleeve of his hakama. Yet suddenly, another presence took hold of him and lifted his battered body up. Clearing the blood on his forehead, Hiko's vision slowly came back. "Si-sho!!!!" Hiko's voice was drowned in his own tears. "The last of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu must not die so easily..." the man in white boomed. Hiko couldn't actually see the face of his saviour but he knew he was his master, the one who gave up his life so that of his beliefs in Hiko. Yet the bright aura surrounding him has forced Hiko to cover his partially retained vision. "Remember our school was founded to protect and defend the weak? Hiko the 13th." Hiko nodded while still partially covering his eyes. Surprisingly though, the wounds on his body began healing themselves as the white glimmering aura touches them. Hiko felt refreshed, his youthful energy returning to him once again. He did not notice the change yet as he was still to obsessed with his master, the one whom he treated as a master, father but most important of all his friend. "There is one more person we need to protect.........." Hiko understood his master perfectly as though their minds and souls were synchronized. "I know, si-sho......I will fulfilled my destiny as the 13th Master of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu school. " Hiko proudly claimed, yet these claims had lost the boastful and egoistical nature which was the trademark of Hiko Seijuuro. Taking his katana from the ground, Hiko sheathed it as he began the first step of his final destiny. "And then finally.........we will be at peace...finally... the gathering of all Hiko Seijuuros." And the white apparition disappeared into the darkness of the night. >>>>>>>> NOTICE <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< > > All characters belong and are copyrighted by > Nobuhiro Watsuki and Sony entertainment. > Kenshin and Kaoru's killer is just a mere creation > with no relevance to the original storyline. > Ah, as usual flames and critics can be sent to > e-@anime-genesis.com > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ____________________________________________________________________ List Site: http://www.findmail.com/list/rkfanfics/ To unsubscribe, send to rkfanfics-unsubscrib-@makelist.com FREE group e-mail lists at http://www.findmail.com [Image] [Previous] 32 of 370 [Next] [Image] [Image] T-Shirts! | Privacy | Legal | eLerts | Advertise | About eGroups
