Was a wondeful ficĦĦĦ Can I colaborate...plaeseĦĦĦ SRR3 The Sukuzara game. The boys were doing the first exercises before the game started. The team was chosen with care: Rukawa in the front, Oscar Jarjayes as the left defense, Haruka in the right position, Hyoga Kido jumping, and Kaworu Nagisa making the passes. In the waiting positions: Sendoh, Mitsui, Trowa Barton, Duo Maxwell, Ikki Kido, and his brother Seiya. Megumi was bandaging Hyoga's sore, little hand when she caught sight of Rukawa's skinned knuckles. *Its because of me,* she thought, suddenly tender. "Rukawa-kun, let me check your hand?" she asked softly, reaching for his hand. Ikki and Mitsui exchanged glances, amazed at her tenderness... She didn't sound like Megumi at all. Kaede pushed her hand away, but not with the ruthlessness he usually did, just with eagerness... His words were the softest anybody had ever heard from him: "It's ok, Megumi-san. Don't worry." "Kaede-kun is playing great today. I pray he doesn't overdo himself; he still has a lot of bruises." Kurama sat in the first row of the Tokyo University Cheer and looked worriedly at his new friend. His brother Kenshin (and his friend Shiryu Kido) sat by his side. "And here is that Sendoh. And Kamatari." Sendoh had his eyes modestly down, but sometimes he glared at the young player making slam-dunks and smiling brightly. Kamatari and Yumi Komagata, the main cheerleaders, were chanting for Rukawa at that moment. Happy first-graders Saori Kido, Asuka Langley, Michiru Kaioh, and Makoto Kino also cheered him on with energy. Makoto Kino was pretty tall, she was a reserve cheerleader, only in primary. She was there because one of the main cheerleaders was in the hospital: Hokuto Sumeragi, the young, crazy and happy twin of shy first-grader Subaru. Subaru was a good friend of Shun, Shiryu's brother. After the attack Megumi, Shiryu, Kurama, and Kaede had suffered at the hands of some third-graders, they and Kurama's brother, Kenshin, were pretty sure that the attack on Hokuto was the same thing. "Don't worry about Kaede-dono, Shuu-dono. I'm sure de gozaru he is safe today. Just look forward," Kenshin reassured his brother. In the shadows of a crowd of students, his black uniform contrasting with the white blouses and red ribbons of the drooling primary girls, Aoshi Shinomori and his sister Tomoe intently watched their younger brother. Sendoh would have room for nothing today, no doubt. Tokyo vs Sukuzara: 56-55. Then a huge foul occurred. The ice-tempered Hyoga Kido punched (in the face) the guy who kicked Oscar Jarjayes in the stomach... accidentally. Ikki then took them both out (along with the exhausted blonde Haruka) and sent them to Megumi. Andre Grandier, a first grader and old friend of Oscar (and the waterman of the team), rushed to Oscar's side and became almost hysterical. Soon Rukawa and Nagisa joined Mitsui, Sendoh, and Trowa. 62-60. A vicious kick to the wounded knee of Mitsui sent him to Megumi too... after a marvelous three points. Ikki was sent in, but he was worried. Nagisa had a bad fall, and had to be substituted by Duo (who was almost as fast). Trowa was pulled when he reached his fifth fault. Seiya began to try to substitute for him, and although he was only half as good a high-catcher, he was as fast as Duo. And then, when everybody except Kurama was looking, a hand roughly squeezed Kaede's rear. THUD. Sendoh fell bleeding. Rukawa stood like an enraged animal over him. "Stop, Kaede!!" Ikki screamed, but it was useless. Only using force could he and Trowa snatch Sendoh from Rukawa's claws. "C'mon, Kaede-chan." Sendoh smiled, and wiped gently at his bloodied nose. "You know you like it." "Bastard..." Kaede began, but a hand paralyzed him. Kenshin and Kurama had jumped onto the court, and were eying the tall boy. Kenshin simply took the taller boy's arm and motioned him out. "I've told you already, Sendoh," he whispered softly. Then he turned back and smiled at Ikki. "Don't worry, Ikki-kun, my brother will take Sendoh's position in the game," he said before going straight out of the gym with an amazed (and a bit amused) Sendoh behind. "WHAT?!" cried Kurama. "I've never played basketball before!" "Just try to put the ball in your opponent's basket." Megumi pulled a red basketball shirt with the number 19 over his head. "And I prefer you as blocking dodge defense instead of that stupid Kuwabara." "Blocking WHAT...?" "Just relax and run," said a smiling Ikki Kido. *Oh well, if I can't have Kenshin on my team, at least let me see how his brother does.* Shiryu stood at his side, looking towards the crowd of girls. Aoshi Shinomori wasn't there anymore. Just his lovely sister, watching Rukawa and... Shuuichi? with some strange emotion on her face. *It's like I can see them running and playing again. Like niichan and Ken-san when they were in first grade,* Tomoe thought. The scarlet tail moving in a flash; the dark, silky strands moving in the wind. The only difference was in their eyes: no hard amber-violet or icy blue gray. The eyes of Shuuichi Minamino-Himura were green and warm, and the blue eyes of her younger brother were passionate and savage when he played. *No wonder a lot of girls follow them. Like two years ago when every girl dreamed about Aoshi and Kenshin...* "Good work, newbie-reddy," Michiru, leader of the cheerleaders, sang happily when the winners started to jump and hug. For, to everyone's surprise, Kurama and Kaede had fit like a perfect couple in basketball. Seiya and Duo were big catchers and passers: they could run like a breath, but Kurama (with the help of Shiryu's coaching strategies) could move like a snake. He was as graceful as a dancer, and passed his opponents like a wild wind. And Kaede, although still unnerved by Sendoh's act, used his rage to always stay close. Finally, he began setting points from his passes while the big Ikki blocked with all his skilled strength. It was a resonant 109-132 for Tokyo Team. ------------------------------------------- Sendoh panted. He was tall and muscled, and tough enough to brawl with the joking and problematic second grade gang. But the quickness of Kenshin's body, and the deadly strength of Aoshi, sent him to his knees. He rolled into a ball, moaning. The two shades, one tall and black, the other short and graceful, stood by his sides, their feet absently touching him. "For the seventh time, Akira: 'Who hurt Hokuto-dono...?'" "I... aahh... don't... aahh..." The blow from Aoshi's boot left him pinned to the earth. Kenshin's little foot came to press on his waist while Aoshi's heel pressed his head. "Leave me... bastards..." "That was exactly the words my brother begged you with, pervert, and you didn't listen to him." Aoshi's cold, frighteningly icy voice got deeper when he suddenly kicked Sendoh in the face. "Now, are you willing to tell me who hurt Sumeragi-san, or do I have to dirty my shoes?!" "You... you said you didn't care..." "I care a lot if you start chasing my brother, or my little sister's classmates. Now talk." Aoshi looked at him strangely. "And I'm more than willing to do the exact same routine to you if you touch my brother again." Kenshin sighed and leaned against the wall for support. Then he heard Sendoh panting. "Ask Barton," Sendoh whispered before he ran away. ----------------------------- Trowa was in the music room. He always played music after a game... especially when he was pulled after five faults -- again. He played the flute softly, concentrating and letting his heartbeat calm down. His wet hair (from the post-game shower) fell into his face, obscuring it from view. But he opened his dazzling green eyes when a soft touch preceded the opening of the door. "Hmm... hi? Senpai Trowa, why do you want to speak to me?" "Sit, Quatre. I have a couple of things I want to discuss with you." --------------------------- ONElist Sponsor ---------------------------- ONElist: the best place to EXPLORE topics, SHARE ideas, and CONNECT to people with the same interests. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
