I've finaly gotten out of lurker mode, and have decided to make my own
contrabution to the list. I know I'm not as great as the rest of the
wonderful writers on this list, but I thought I'd try none the less.

Note: This poem is from Kaoru's point of veiw. She's basically talking about
her relationship with Kenshin. Oh, it's also a free verse; therefore, there
is no rhyming

Anyway here it is....

My secret
who once lived in my dreams.
Takes my hand
He smiles and my heart races.
His amber eyes set like the sun-
upon my deep pools of innocents.

My secret
short, but tall
Understanding, then clue-less.

My secret
My protection;
with me as his barrier between dark and light.
Gental and kind are the fragile, but fierce hands that hold me close.

My secret
Mature and educated
his morals become my beliefs.
His touch seeking my need.

My secret
who once lived in my dreams,
Never more the lost Rurouni, for his home abides in me
