From: "Haruka Kusanagi" This story is a SM and Aoshi/Misao crossover. It takes place a couple of days after the Kenshin gumi leaveee Kyoto. (Spoiler Warning) This is in no way related to Sailor Weasel. Disclaimer" I don't own any of them. *waaaaaah*" MEETING THROUGH MEDITATION (PT.1) By Maria Vu Aoshi sat peacefully in the temple above the Aoiya. He was enjoying his favorite pasttime, meditation. At the exact same moment, centuries later a young girl is sitting in a similar like temple enjoying the same pasttime. Rei Hino (also known as Sera Mars), was completey absorbed in her meditating. She usually cast herself into a temporary state of sensory deprivation. So it was no suprise that she didn't notice the natural catastrophe known as Usagi Tsukino, tripping over a floormate and almost falling into Rei's holy fire. "OWOWOWOWOW", Usagi cries out as she blows on her scraped knees. "Usagi-chan, you are acting like a child. Now stop crying! Don't you remember why we came?" Luna lectured. "Waaaaaaah. You can be so mean." Usagi whined. "Usagi-chan. Luna is right. We came here because we are all worried about Rei." Makoto (Sera Jupiter) adds. "Right. Rei-chan hasn't been acting herself recently. She keeps cancelling study sessions, she never wants to go to the mall or movies anymore, and she is even late now for the Sera senshi meetings." Minako puts in. "So what. I'm always late for them." Usagi says justifiyingly. "But we have them here. How can she be late when they are at her own home?" Makoto questions. "Good point." Usagi states, "Could it be a new threat? Or maybe she's in love?" "I'm not sure about a guy, but I know if there was a threat to our peacful days, Rei-chan would tell us, Minako says Everyone nodded in agreement. "OH NO!" Ami (Sera Mercury) yells out suddenly. "Ami-chan!!! Daijobu?" Usagi asks worriedly. "What is it, Ami-chan? A new evil?" Minako asks, moving next to her. "Did you figure out what's going on with Rei-chan?" Mako asks, moving to stand on the other side of Ami. "Ie" Ami answers sadly. "Than why did you yell out so suddenly?" Usagi asks. "Look!" Ami says holding up a calculus book. Everyone looks at the book in confusion. "It's terrible." Ami continues, in obvious dismay. "What is?!?!?!" They yell out simeotanously. "I only got 29 out oof 30 correct on this practice test." Ami states in a troubled voice. The senshi all hit the floor. Suddenly, a strange glowing ball shoots out of the fire. The senshi shield their eyes, trying to avoid the painful light. "What's happening?" Usagi criees out. "I don't know." Mina says, hanging onto Luna. Then, as soon as it had appeeared. The light simpy vanishes. Unfortunately, so did Rei. "REI-CHAN!" The panicked senshi shout out in unision. "Luna! Rei-chan wa?" "I'm not sure." Luna says calmly. "We have to find her!" Mako says, upset. "Let's gathr the rest of the senshi, Mamoru and Artemis." Luna orders. The senshi all nod and rush out hurriedy. -Meanwhile- Rei often found herself in realistic settings. Sort like those you would see in dreams. One day, she would be in Tokyo. The next day, she'd be back in the Moon kingdom during the last days be fore the destruction of the Silver Mellenium. But today was different. Today she wasn't in a familiar place at all. She knew it was some type of temple. It looked similar to her own. But she had never been here before. The trees were all an emerald shade of green. And the sky above her was a radiant shade of blue. The evidence of man and urban city life didn't seem to have any type of bearing on the place and Rei got the impression that overcrowding and pollution were not major factors. Rei couldn't stare hard enough at everything. "I wonder where exactly it is I am?" She asked herself. She took another good look aroound and noticed something odd. "Better question Rei, where are all the people?" Before she could ponder the question, she caught a slight movement behind her. Shee turned around and caught her breath at what she finds. Towering over her, she finds a tall, gorgeous man with greyish-blue eyes covered almost completely by midnight colored hair. "A---Anata wa?" She stuttered out. The man stares at her for a few moments. It seemed like and eternity. Finally he answered her in a cool voice. "Boca wa Shinoromi Aoshi". Rei blushed slightlly. She couldn't believe how handsome the man was. " Shinoromi-sam, Hajimemashite. Watashi wa Hino, Rei". She says extending her hand. Aoshi stands like a statue, not attempting to accept her introduction. Rei frowns and puts down her hand. She was beginning to think that she had disturbed him. "Gomen nasai. I didn't mean to bother you. If you could just tell me where I am, I will be on my way." Rei says apologetically. Aoshi raises an eyebrow. "You don'y know where you are?" "Ie. I'm afraid I am a bit lost." Rei admits. Aoshi leans against the temple wall and closes his eyes. "This is called the Aoiya." "Aoiya? I never heard of such a place in Tokyo." Rei says, wracking her brain. "That is because you are not in Tokyo." Aoshi states simply. "NANI!?!?!?" Rei cries out, "Not in Tokyo.....then where am I?" Aoshi folds his arms and opens his eyes to look at Rei, "Kyoto." "Kyoto? Is this some kind of joke?" Rei asks, her anger getting the best of her. She wanted to knock this guy silly for trying to deceive her. But the look on his face was too serious to be just a joke. "Honto ni? This is really Kyoto?" Rei asked softly. Aoshi looked at her for a moment and nodded. Rei pushed open the communicator on her arm. "Usagi? Luna? Minna?" She received only static. She looked back at Aoshi who gave her a curious look. "Ano.........can you tell me what century this is?| Aoshi's curious look turned to one of confusion. "It is the 19th." "19th?" Rei repeated, wide eyed. It did explain a few things. And at least she knew she where she was. Now she just needed to figure out how she got here and more importantly how to get home. ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Sekihara Tae" Reply-To: kffdisc@onelist.com To: "fanfic" Subject: [kffdisc] A little of this and a little of that... Trying to catch up on my email, so I'm going to give comments, responses, random nonsense and profuse apologies all in the same mail... ^_^;; First: GOMENASAI, Meimi-san, for not being "around" much for the ML in the last few weeks. Still in the process of moving (which means I'm in my parents' basement, they have one phone line, and I'm supposed to be using my free time to find a new home. ^_^;;) Will try to be better. Honto ni gomen! Second: Tin, Sariah, and Dark Phoenix -- and anyone else waiting for it -- I'm sorry, but Someone 4 isn't coming any time soon. I tried, really I did... but it's really hard to write adult romance when people are looking over your shoulder. ~_~ If you three ladies would like to see what I have so far, you're welcome... but it's only 2 or 3 pages, and the adult romance hasn't started yet. Aoshi's still working up to teaching her taijutsu. Third: Wai! I love it when Risu-chan gets comments, and I think it's wonderful that people post them in public. It's like she's getting a compliment in a room full of people, ne? ^__^ I always forward them to her as soon as I can (which is usually the minute I see them). So never fear, Kaoru16 and Nicky-oneechan, I sent them to her last night. Fourth... comments!! ^_^ Short and sweet and to the point: Nicky-oneechan, I loved your "evil" chapter (^_~)... demo, I still think it was a rather evil place to leave it. Ne? Can't wait to see the next part. And I hope you're feeling better! Sariah, your "Ahh! Aoshi-sama!" spamfic was hysterical... and I don't think I mentioned it, but your batman parody was cute, too. ^_^ Sakka-chan, "These Changing Times" was excellent as always -- I'm glad you had time to write, and that the new job seems to be good for your muse! Sano was Sano... and yet he was sweet and considerate, too. (Which aren't typical Sano traits! ^_~) Fifth... responses... Serizawa-san, thanks for the feedback! Domo domo domo! ^___^ As for the Japanese... ^_^;; I'm just a gal with a dictionary and a guide to Japanese verbs (i.e., I'm making this up as a go along) so if the verb I used for "wake up" was wrong, I'll gladly change it. You would probably know better than I! ^___^ It's correct per the dictionary, though... and I thought I asked Tatsuko about this chapter... (mind is boggling) Tatsuko-san, did I ask about Someone chapter 3 or Someone chapter 2? Dad's yelling for me to help with the laundry... Too bad he doesn't believe in LIACs! (Kenshin! Go help Dad!)
