Another short chapter. I need to lethen this one out so.... tell me what I can do! Yahiko, Sanosuke, Megumi- Out To Sea "Yahiko-kun!! Wake up, we're leaving soon!" Megumi shook his compact shoulders roughly but to no avail. Yahiko's head rolled forward with a snort. She crossed her hands in exasperation. "Lemme handle this." Sanosuke picked up the young boy by the foot and held him in the air. "Stupid punk." Then he flung him. "YAUUUUUUUUYY!!!!!!" A large clatter shook the room as the young boy floundered in a pile of kitchen pots. "Sanosuke!! I'm gonna kill your ass!" Sanosuke swung a large bag over his shoulder. "Yeah..right." He exited the room, Megumi following behind. Yahiko got up with a rattle and chased after them. The sea air brushed their clothing back as they entered the dock. The Mayor was there to greet them. A merry expression planted across his pruny face. "Your boat awaits at the far side of the docks. There's enough food and fresh water to last a week." The old man's expression became a slight more serious. But he still looked down right jolly. "Wish you the best of luck Young'uns. Hope you find your friend." "Thank you so much, elder. We really appreciate this." The man chuckled softly. "The pleasure's all mine, madam." After waving goodbye to the Mayor, they made way to the far side of the port. They stopped infront of a medium sized boat with snow white sails. A man was there to greet them. The man began talking about how the steering wheel works and how to test the wind. After he was done, the man wished them luck and headed down the dock. They were on their own. "Ezu zo. (Let's go.)" The three boarded the boat and set sail. Once they were surrounded by the marine ocean, Yahiko promptly turned his head over the rail. And barfed his guts out. "Yahiko!! Do it on the other side of the boat, you're making me sick!" He turned to glare at her, his mouth trailing with a slimy trail of vomit. "Shut up! Since you're a doctor, why don't you do something!" Megumi shrugged. "I can't cure sea sickness." "Leave the little boy be." Megumi turned to see Sanosuke on the port bow playing with the steering wheel. She sighed placing a shaky hand to her forehead. This was going to be a long trip. "Blasted wooden piece of shit! Turn damn you!!" Sanosuke was contenting himself in fighting with the steering wheel. If content was the right word... "Don't make me use my Futaei no Kiwami on you!! I'll have your ass in splinters before you can say Suck IT!" Megumi sat down on the deck and looked up at the white puffs floating across the sky. He heard a tap of feet and turned to see Yahiko sitting beside her. "Ne, Megumi. Do you think their ok?" Megumi smiled. Yahiko was a proud samurai boy but she knew well enough that he would run his ass through embarrassment a hundred times if it meant saving their lives. After all they were like his parents. She put a hand on his shoulder. "Yahiko, I know their ok." He brightened. Yahiko jumped to his feet with his trusty bamboo sword in hand. "Yosh!! Time for practise. Not having that hag around has put me outta shape." He began swinging, Megumi laughed. Then a sudden blast of wind nearly knocked her off balance. "What the FUCK!!" She turned to see Sanosuke struggling with the steering wheel. "Damn it!! This thing's gonna ram us into a rock. Megumi turned and looked out the port bow. A huge grey rock lodged in an island towered over them menacingly. "Grey rock, right ahead!!" Yahiko bounded down the deck to the steering wheel. "Sanosuke!! What the hell are you doing?? Get us outta here!!" "Shut up Kid! I'm doing the best I can!" The grey rock was only a few meters away now. Sanosuke turned the wheel. And broke it. "I knew we shouldn't have let you have the steering wheel!!" Megumi cried out against the howling wind. Sanosuke examined the wheel quickly. The piece of wheel that was left, was turning violently. "The fat lady hasn't sang yet!!" Sanosuke put both hands on the stub of wood and began turning it the other way. Now they were dangerously close, a meter away. Sanosuke leaned his body in it and turned with all his might. The boat was slowly turning. But too slow to dodge the rock. Sanosuke turned to Megumi and Yahiko. "Hold on the this!! I'll be back soon!" "Sanosuke!!" Megumi shouted at his disappearing form. Yahiko and Megumi gritted their teeth and held on to the wooden pole. Sanosuke sprinted to the front and stood infront of the approaching boulder. It was roughly 80 centimetres away. He held his fist out as the boat rapidly approached the grey monster. He knew that if he acted too fast, it wouldn't work but if he acted to slow the boulder would crush his arm. But Sanosuke had no other option. He had to chance it. As soon as he felt the hard rock scrape against his fist. His tensed his arm. "KURAEI!! Futaei no Kiwami!!" A chunk of the boulder burst into pebbles. Yahiko and Megumi fell to the deck as the boat rocked to the side. A rain of rocks pelted down on them as they covered their head. Once it was silent Megumi looked up and saw the wounded rock lingering behind them. The wind was still strong and was blowing the boat on it's own. Infront of her Sanosuke sat down, panting hard. Megumi scrambled beside him and gasped. "Sanosuke!! Your hand!!" His white bandages were soiled in dark blood. Megumi furrowed her eyebrows and took his hand in hers. "Yahiko! Grab my medicine case!!" A reply was shouted and a second later Yahiko was beside them. "You shouldn't use your Futaei no Kiwami on hard things like rocks!" Megumi began unbandaging his hand and re-wrapping it with a new roll. Sanosuke grinned. "Heh... It was all worth it Fox lady. I saved your life." Megumi couldn't help but smile. "Baka." "Hey the wind's blowing us on course!!!" Sanosuke and Megumi looked around in surprise as they passed between the two twin islands. Yahiko was at the very front of the boat leaning over the railing. "Look, it's the island!!" And it was. It was several miles away but they could see the sharp grey peak. The violent winds that almost rammed them in a rock was actually helping them move faster. At this rate, they'd hit the shores in late afternoon. Sanosuke whistled. "Jo-chan, Kenshin!! Hang on, we're coming!!" WAY open for critsm on this one. -Mihoshi "Cognito erguem.
