Subject: [KFFDisc] new poetry Date: Mon, 08 Mar 1999 23:55:41 -0400 From: Nadya Reply-To: kenshinfanfics@egroups.com To: kenshinfanfics@egroups.com Konnichiwa minna! ^_^x I've sort of retreated into lurkdom here lately because life has taken over and I still have to sort through the past 2 week's fanfics. Gomen! But I wrote a whole bunch of poetry today in school (inspired by my friends's poetry + the fact that we're doing Poetry in English class), two of which ended up being RK. So, um, here they are.. Like I said before, I write weird poems.. :P The first is a Kenshin poem - no real spoiler there. That is, there is a subtle spoiler, but if you don't know what I'm talking about, you won't notice it. :P However, the second poem is a Tomoe one - so if you don't know her, don't read. :P =================== "My Life" - a Himura Kenshin poem by Nadya aka Kaoru on March 8, 1999 My life is not my own. I live to protect others, Never caring about myself. There was a time when I could make my own choices, But they hurt more than an eternal scar. I had to make a fresh start, Clean as the winter's snow. I promised the dying winter - no, I promised myself, Forever binding my life. The winds of wandering carried me To the souls that embraced me. Why do they care? I am not worthy. Why does the fragrance of the God's valley linger, caressing my soul? It does not know of the snow. There can be no peace with the past. My life is not my own... ----- Note: the snow references are, of course, Tomoe. The "Fragrance of the God's Valley" is the meaning of Kaoru Kamiya's name. ^_^x =============== "Soul of Winter" - a Yukishiro Tomoe poem by Nadya aka Kaoru on March 8, 1999 My soul was frozen, Like a flower in winter. Forever I believed There was no sun to melt the snow. Until there was you. I wanted to freeze, I wanted to die But you took me into your world Asking nothing in return. I was sent to kill death But I discovered the sun. You melted my icy heart And let the flower bloom through the lies. I don't understand. How can you love the snow that never smiles? You found the heart That I never knew I had. You gave me love But all I gave you was a smile. Please don't cry... ======================= There.. I hope you like them. ^.^ Please comment....
