I'm not sure whether people remember this....This was a teaser for
"Curse of the Dragon".  Well not really a teaser more like a funny
scene based on some ideas that I have for the fic.  But anyway,
here's version two of it.  You'll see that I've changed a few crucial
lines.....

Kaoru is giving birth with only Death, Sano, Hiko, Saitou and Aoshi for
company?
Who will survive this ordeal?

DEATH:  I'm Death!  Death!  What am I supposed to know about giving birth?!
SANO:  Hey Saitou.  You're married.  You have two children.  Surely you know
*something*!
<Saitou takes a drag on his cigarette and gives Sano the glare of death.
After
several long moments.....>
SAITOU:  I can change nappies.  That's it.
<Everyone sweatdrops at the image of Saitou at his desk at the police
station,
a cigarette in his mouth, changing nappies on the desk while barking out
orders to his sub-ordinates>
SANO:  OK.......  Hiko?  You claim to know everything about
women.
HIKO:  I know everything about how to get them *into* these situations!  I
don't know anything
about *afterwards*
<Aoshi kneels down and starts helping Kaoru>
EVERYONE:  Aoshi?!!
AOSHI:  I helped at Misao's birth.  As Okashira it was my duty to
make sure that the birth of the former Okashira's only grandchild
was carried out safely.
<Aoshi pauses for a long moment.>
AOSHI:  Now that I think about it maybe I shouldn't help....
ALL:  WHY?!!
AOSHI:  I was the first person that Misao saw.
SANO:  So?
SAITOU:  Ahou.  Many baby animals imprint on the first thing
that they see.
SANO:  Oh.

FLASHBACK TO AOSHI'S TORTUROUS PAST (make sure you have
some tissues guys):

A young teenage Aoshi stands on the podium facing the Owinabanshu members.
(think that episode where Misao is telling Kenshin about Aoshi under the
tree).
"We need to expand our reach in Kyoto.  My plans...."
He is suddenly interupted by a cry of "Okashira!  Help!"
Misao's nanny comes out holding a crying Misao.
"Please Okashira.  Your the only one who she'll let feed her!"
His face emotionless the young Okashira takes the baby Misao in his arms.
He turns back to his
audience, holding Misao who has stopped crying and is now contently sucking
on a bottle of milk which Aoshi is also holding.  Aoshi resumes speaking,
his face and
voice still emotionless.
"As I was saying.  We need to expand our reach in Kyoto...."

Here's the original message and the original version:

As for continuing it I was thinking of writing another chapter of how the
dragon
boy teaches Hiko Hiten and some things which might explain some mysterious
things which crop up (non-aging for eg and why the final technique requires
you to kill the master )
and then maybe a fic about how the dragon boy appears to
each master of Hiten Mitsurigi when it comes time to choose a successor.
However
Kenshin's not taking his master's life has started the process of breaking
the
dragon's curse.  There is another great war between heaven (SHISHIO!!!) and
hell and the dragon takes Kenshin to heaven to find a way to break the curse
and restore the balance to the heavens and to learn the true Hiten Mitsurigi
Ryu.
He is then followed by a heavily pregnant Kaoru who has to wander the spirit
planes with -
Saitou, Hiko, Sano, Aoshi and Death(??!!!).  Ahh the humerous situations
that can arise
from such a company.......

EVERYONE:  Aoshi?!!
AOSHI:  There's only so many Zen books that even *I* can read.  I found this
book in
the Owinabanshu library one day.

SANO:  And I thought he was scary when he was after Kenshin's blood.....

However I'm not certain whether whether I'll have time to write it. <Sigh>
Maybe
after I've finished some of my other fics first.....
