From: "P. Rico" Hello, hello. First off, thank you to everyone who has commented on "Why the Keshin-gumi Went to College." Unfortunantly for you, this only proved to encouraged me and my new writing partner so now I present: "The Further Adventures of the Kenshin Gumi at College" P.S. I got the building names and such from my university since it's the only campus I'm familiar with. I hope it doesn't confuse anyone. Disclaimer: There are not mine. (But they will be as soon as I win the lottory ^-^. This I swear!) [P.Rico runs out to buy lotto ticket.] ******************************** Adventure #1: Going To Class by P.Rico with help from A.Kent Makimachi Misao walked out of the Moores School of Music humming lightly. "That Mozart is kinda cool," she mused. "I think I'll buy a CD. I'll it play for Aoshi-sama. He'll be so impressed." She pulled out her class schedule. "Let's see, where's my next class? Hmm, Intro to Psych in McElhinney. That's across campus." She glanced at her watch. "Eek! The prof let us out late! I only have five minutes to make it!" She smiled. "I might be worried, but as an Oniwabanshuu I pride myself in my speed. I should make it in no time." She flung her book bag on her back and almost fell over. "Of course, it would help if I didn't have to carry a ton of books." She regained her balance and took off toward McElhinney in a run. Later that day…… Seta Soujirou sat in the U.C. Satellite enjoying some "Mexican" food. "This American food is rather interesting, and this Chihuahua is awfully cute…" He was interrupted by the sound of a heavy book bag landing on the table. He looked up and smiled politely at the site that greeted him. "Konnichiwa, Misao-chan." A very out of breath Misao plopped herself in the chair opposite of Soujirou. "Hey *gasp* Sou *gasp* ji *gasp* rou *gasp*." "Oh, you look tired." "No *gasp* kidding *gasp*." "What happened?" "Classes," replied Misao finally catching her breath. "Three of them, all across campus from each other. All the professors let us out late and I had to run to make it to the next class in time. To top it off, I had to carry this heavy thing." She whacked her book bag and pushed it off the table. It fell with a loud thump that shook the room. Of course, none of the other students paid any attention to it since that sort of thing was a common occurrence on campus. "Poor Misao-chan. Have a gordita." Misao accepted and the two began to discuss their classes. "That's odd," said Soujirou. "I had no problem getting to my classes on time." Misao glared at him. "What?" "Nothing, I have to get going." The two cleared off their table and walked to the door. They noticed that it had begun to rain. "Good thing I have this," said Misao pulling out her genuine, red and white University of Houston umbrella. "It's not raining that hard, I'll be okay, " said Soujirou. They headed out the door and made their way to the steps. When they reached the steps, the used the rails to pull themselves out of the knee deep water. "A lot of good this umbrella did," muttered Misao as two students floated by in an inflatable raft. The rain got heavier. "Hey, Sou." "Yeah?" "Do books float?" "I think so. And look, the current is heading toward your class. You'll have no problem making it on time now." *********************** NOTE: This little fic was inspired by the fact that the sprinkler system floods U of H :P. --------------------------- ONElist Sponsor ---------------------------- Accurate impartial advice on everything from laptops to table saws.
