Ruri's rant:
ok I have mixed feelings for Ricky's newest
single: Livin' La Vida Loca, a term I like to use on him is
"gringocized" which basically means the song has lost
that latin touch. The song is catchy but its something I wouldn't
consider Latin pop. But I am a fan of his. (Hari-chan:
Ruri get back to talking about the fic. Ruri:

Anyways here is a songfic that screamed Aoshi
and Misao when I heard it, it also screamed Kenshin and Kaoru,
but when I read the lyrics they were a better match for A&M.
Ahhh how I love Spanish Ballads, so sappy and sad. The lyrics are
so sad, here they are in its original form and translated.
(hispano'blantes out there can catch my mistakes and then I can
find out how much spanish I've lost) There are some lines with
*'s next to them because I took some poetic license and made the
line sound nicer than its literal meaning. There are a few that
have **'s which means I may have gotten the grammar and/or
translated it wrong. (and immediately after I feel real guilty
for not keeping up with my spanish) This is my first songfic
let's see if I can pull it off. ^_^;

Misao looks at the sky, a sad look on her face,

she glances at Aoshi who is meditating...

but Aoshi isn't meditating, he has a faint sad look on his face.
He remembers when Misao had come to him a few nights ago, with hope in her face.
His closed eyes squeeze more tightly closed when he remembered that that night Misao had admitted her love to him and he was afraid of hurting her

Aoshi's fists his hands.

Spring comes, but Misao is still sad. She hears a knock on the door. Misao lifts her head half expectant to see Aoshi, but its Omasu at her bedroom door. Omasu suggests that Misao dates.

Misao sadly agrees.
He intentado encontrarte
I have tried to find you
Aoshi walks by the dinning room to see a young man coming towards him on the walkway. He bows politely as he passes Aoshi. He is followed by his parents, who bow politely. Aoshi turns around and watches as the boy enters the dinning room. As if against his will he looks in and sees Misao sitting at the table, dressed in a kimono and ready greet the boy.

She looks out her window to see Aoshi meditating and she reaches out to him as if able to touch him all the way from her room.

Aoshi watches as Misao slowly drifts away from him. He realizes that he could never have her if he wanted her safe. He bows his head, thinking, "I am not worthy of her."

Aoshi watches Misao's window from his place in the temple.

Misao sighs as she tosses and turns in bed unable to sleep. She looks out the window up at the sky.

Aoshi walks to her room, in his mind he rehashes that fall night when Misao had admitted her love to him.

Insert shots of happy Misao smiling at him. He remembers the day that he saw Misao sitting in the dinning room, dressed in her kimono, ready to meet a possible husband.
Ahora es cuando te pierdo
now it is that I lost you*
He realized that she no longer smiles at him.

Aoshi clenches his hands,

knowing that if he doesn't try to get back what he lost,

Misao returns to the Aoiya with her date. They pause at the door. He leans forward to kiss her. Misao lifts her face to accept the kiss, but then at the last minute turns away, her eyes sad. She looks back up, reflected in her eyes is an image of Aoshi.

From where Aoshi was, he saw the boy lean close to kiss Misao, and Misao raising her face to accept the kiss. Aoshi turns away sadly.

Misao closes the door of the Aoiya behind her and leans her back against it with a sigh. She looks down and away sadly. She looks at herself in the mirror and attempts to smile. She looks tired as if her date required effort. She gives up trying to smile and leaves the room sadly.

Aoshi is slowly walking back to the temple when he realizes that meditation will do no more good. The kiss scene flashes through his mind again and he clutches at his chest where his heart is, and then looks down at his hands in shock that a person could make him feel...

Omasu smiles expectantly at Misao ready to talk about her date. Misao shakes her head and Omasu’s smile disappears and she reaches out to comfort Misao. Misao shakes her head and steps away. She runs away from Omasu.

in the dark, Misao slows down to a walk and clutches her chest where her heart is and begins to blink a few times.

Aoshi reaches the split in the path where he can go to the temple or to his room. He takes the path to his room.

tired, Misao kneels on the ground, clutching the place where her heart is and cries,

On the way to his room,

Aoshi finds Misao sobbing,
