I will be right here by All 4 one. A Darkness before dawn songfic by Sentora. Standard RK and fanfic disclaimers apply. Lemon warning! (As the scene fades in, we see a large room with hundreds of lit candles.....The flames blue and filling the room with a spectral light. Thecamera focuses on A figure in a black off the shoulder kimono, white tigers prints dancing across it, walking among the candles....giving only a few glimpses of who the person is as the song starts....dark, coffee complexioned shoulders.....a sword with a snake like hilt....long white hair....deep green eyes....) (Female voice) Wherever you go, Whatever you do Whenever you need me.... (We can now clearly see it's Ashura as the camera closes up on her face. The usual cynical smile is gone, replaced by an unusual expression....one somewhere between longing, regret, anger....even a bit of sorrow as she sings.) (Ashura) How can I say how much you've done for me How much I have just knowing I had you? (The room suddenly 'scatters' like leaves behind her as she stops walking and turns.....Showing a black and white scene while she remains in color of the inside of a room with no windows and we see Kenshin as the Battousai....extending a hand to a teenaged, brown hair girl kneeling on the floor-Ashura as the 'kidnapped' Ishingumi general's daughter-to help her up....his clothes and Katana bloodstained but his expression friendly. The girl just stares at him in nervous amazement, then accepts his hand. Ashura watching the scene.) (Ashura)You touched my world (A swordsman attacks, Kenshin suddenly scooping her into his arms as he turns to block the blow and cut the attacker down....whispering for her to hold on as he and Jubei tear through the bad guys, the camera switching to a close up of her expression of awe as she hugs herself to him.) (Ashura) And I'll never be the same (The scene changes again to a campfire scene, still in black and white. Young Ashura and Battousai are alone, resting for the night before returning her home. The older one once again watching the scene play out as she sings....Her expression a little annoyed at how her younger self keeps staring at Kenshin as he prepares the rabbits he caught but soon becomes more wistful.) (Ashura) You touched my heart And now everything has changed (Kenshin looks up and smiles at her, and Ashura quickly looking away and blushing, angry that she was staring at him....then glances back at him again when he isn't looking....) (Ashura) You are the one in this life I'll remember (Scene goes black save for Older Ashura and the sitting Kenshin, both now in color....The camera panning around the both of them as she sings the chorus.) (Chorus) Wherever you go Whatever you do Wherever you are My heart is with you No matter how far I'll always be near Whenever you need me I will be right here... (Scene now changes to a few months later, Older Ashura is walking not too far behind a small group of kids surrounding a certain red haired warrior outside his home, in color as usual while everything's and everyone else in black and white. Kenshin smiles as two of the youngest pull him along, the camera focusing especially on the one holding his right, who looks like a younger Ashura with pale skin and dark hair instead. One can obviously seethe affection there as she looks up at him. Ashura's expression is more human now as she watches her in disguise and Kenshin.) (Ashura) There'll always be a part of you with me (Tomoe steps out of the house with a tray of treats, Young Ashura scowling as Kenshin lights up after seeing his wife and 'accidentally' stomping on his foot hard as the other kids rush Tomoe. Kenshin yelps, Older Ashura snickering and a trace of a smile on Tomoe's face. Younger Ashura 'apologizes', Kenshin smiling and reassuring her as he carries her piggyback over to others....Younger Ashura beaming as she leans her head against his back....) (Ashura) I hope there'll be a part of me with you (The camera closes in on Ashura's eyes and revolves around her....snow starting to fall around her as the camera completes it's arc and now we seethe scene has changed to that fateful night Tomoe died. Ashura's expression is mixed as she watches the mourning Kenshin holding Tomoe's still body and his tears mixed with the blood of the fresh cross scar: Part angry....Realizing how much he really loved her despite all her attempted betrayal....wanting to slap him out of it from the way her hand clenches...Part sadness to see him in so much pain and not being able to comfort him because it would ruin her plans....) (Ashura) Oh baby just call my name And I'll hear you on the wind (Ashura closes her eyes and leans against a tree as the scene switches again.....This time it's back to the house Kenshin shared with Tomoe, Kenshin standing there with a torch and the flames in color despite that everything else is in black and white. Kenshin's expression is brooding, wearing the Gi and Hakama we all recognize. In his free hand he is holding Tomoe's diary and the Sakaba and Saya hangs at his waist. Ashura opens her eyes and watches him longingly.) (Ashura)Just close your eyes (Kenshin throws the torch into the house and walks away as it burns, head bowed and seeming like a man led to his execution as he starts his journey.....) (Ashura) And I'll find you once again just know I'm on your side and remember (The screen goes black save for them once again, both in color as the camera rotates around them....Kenshin walking in place and unaware of Ashura beside him, looking at him with a wistful smile.) (Chorus) Wherever you go Whatever you do Wherever you are My heart is with you No matter how far I'll always be near Whenever you need me I will be right here (The camera finshes it's rotation and zooms in on Ashura as she stops and places her hand on her heart. The scene changing to outside a rundown shack in the middle of a forest hit hard with a blizzard. Ashura watches her younger self, wrapped snugly in thick winter clothes, looking in the shack's single window at a truly miserable Kenshin huddled in a old looking blanket. At least three years have past, considering the length of his hair and the worn state of his wet clothes thrown in the corner.) (Ashura) And when the wind touches you it will touch me too (Kenshin is shivering, his eyes tightly shut as he dreams....his expression telling Ashura that it's not a pleasant one at that, confirmed by him whispering a name that makes Ashura's eyes gleam in anger....then sorrow as his pathetic state breaks her heart.) (Ashura) and the same star you see will be the one that shines on me (A detrimined expression crosses the younger Ashura's expression, her features quickly shifting and her body shrinking in size....Kenshin looking up as the door opens and closes....stunned amazment as the figure discards hercoat to reveal Tomoe....) (Ashura) I'll be here when you need me I'll be here any time (She kneels down, stroking his hair as Kenshin whispers if he's dreaming....Tomoe-Ashura replies "if we are, does it matter?" before kissing him.....) (Ashura) Baby I'm on your side so remember (As the chorus goes on images of what happens next fade in and out....Kenshin untying her obi....Ashura parting the blanket to run her hands along his chest....Kenshin kissing the hollow of her neck....Ashura gently pushing Kenshin down to lie on the floor....the kimono and blanket pooling around their waist as they make love, Ashura atop him....Kenshin sitting up to hug her to him, kissing her with all his passion as they climax.....Ashura's eyes moist with tears as she hugs him back as fiercely and kisses him....) (Ashura) Wherever you go whatever you do wherever you are Wherever you go Whatever you do Wherever you are My heart is with you No matter how far I'll always be near Whenever you need me I will be right here I will be right here (At dawn we see Kenshin wrapped in his blanket alone, looking peacefully asleep as a fully clothed Ashura, now back in her true form, smiles and kisses her fingertips and places them on his lips...sighing and looking back at him with a genunine smile before slipping out the door....The scene scattering like leaves again and returning to the candle room again....Ashura standing there with the same smile on her face as she places her hands over her heart.) (Ashura, slowly as the music ends.) I will be right here......
